I am Susanna Hall. The daughter of William Shakespeare and his wife Ann Hathaway. I was baptised on the 26th of May, 1583. I have two younger siblings in Hamnet and Judith, who are twins; they were baptised on the 2nd of February, 1585.
I am writing about my father’s life. My father was born in the town of Stratford- upon- Avon, to my grandparents John Shakespeare, and Mary Arden, in the year of 1564, he was sometimes known as the Bard of Avon because of this. He is considered the preeminent playwright of the English language. These writings, the oracle tells me, will still be at their peak in 100's of years to come.
At 18 he married my mother, Ann Hathaway and she gave birth to my brother and sister, Hamnet and Judith and I.
